クック船長がホワイトハウスでメラニア夫人のドキュメンタリー試写会に出席→物議を醸している理由

AppleのTim Cook CEOが週末、ホワイトハウスで開催されたドキュメンタリー映画「Melania」の試写会に出席した。The Hollywood Reporterによると、この試写会にはAmazonのAndy Jassy CEO、ZoomのEric Yuan CEO、AMDのLisa Su CEOなど、テック業界の大物たちが顔を揃えたとのこと。

Cookがトランプ大統領に接近するのはこれが初めてではない。これまでにもガラス製品をプレゼントしたり、ホワイトハウスのEast Wing解体資金を援助したり、就任式に100万ドルを個人寄付したりしてきた。先週のダボス会議にもトランプについて行き、「彼は素晴らしい、よくやっている」と賛辞を受けている。

ちなみに、この映画の監督を務めるBrett Ratnerは、少なくとも6人の女性から性的暴行で告発されている人物だ。ソーシャルメディア上では、被害者の一人である女優Olivia MunnがApple TV+のドラマ「Your Friends and Neighbors」に出演していることが指摘された。
