Microsoft、音声アシスタント機能「Cortana」のiOS/Android対応を正式発表

SiriやGoogle Nowは新しいライバルの出現に注意！

今年3月にReutersが報じた通り、Microsoftは同社の音声アシスタント機能「Cortana」をiOS/Androidに対応させることを正式に発表した！

Androidアプリは6月末にリリース、iPhoneは今年後半

公式ブログで発表された内容は以下の通り：

Today, we’re announcing a Cortana application for Android phones and for iPhones which works as a companion to Cortana on your Windows 10 PC. The ‘Phone Companion’ app on the PC will help you install the Cortana app from the Google Play or Apple App Store onto your phone so you’ll be able to take the intelligence of Cortana with you, wherever you go.

CortanaのAndroidアプリは6月後半にリリースされる予定。iOSアプリの具体的なリリース時期は明らかにされず、今年後半になると伝えられている。

僕自身、Cortanaを使ったことがないので精度や使い勝手の程は分かっていないが、Siriの出来の悪さをテレビCMで揶揄するぐらいなのでそれなりに期待できるのかもしれない。リリースを楽しみに待とう！
